Lee/Adams/Donovan Trio The trio, featuring prominent pianist Lee Pui Ming,
cellist and suddenlyLISTEN Artistic Director Norman Adams, and
multi-percussionist Erin Donovan, has developed over the last three years as an
exciting, adventurous new musical ensemble. Together, Lee, Adams, and Donovan
bring audiences music that is rich, spontaneous and emotionally charged, yet
still compelling and accessible to a broad audience. Drawing on a broad range
of influences from classical to contemporary, with a wide musical dynamic, this
trio stimulates, entertains and expands horizons. Plans are now underway to
bring this concert experience to audiences across Canada and around the world. Concerts Lee/Adams/Donovan offer concerts of approximately
one hour and twenty minutes in length (including intermission). The repertoire
of the concerts is drawn from original compositions by the individual
performers, and improvisations created in the moment. The music explores the
dynamic relationships between the musicians. Each player pushes their
instruments and listening to collectively create a full range of emotion in
each performance. Workshops suddenlyLISTEN and Lee/Adams/Donovan Trio are
dedicated to connecting to the communities we visit. We are eager to offer
presenters and communities the opportunity to blend performance with their
choice of workshops, master classes, and lecture demonstrations for all ages
and abilities. Our workshops can range from creative sessions for schools, to
more specific work with musicians of all levels of experience. This outreach
work is lively, fun, educational, engaging and is designed to immerse as much
of the local community in creative music making as possible. suddenlyLISTEN has
a commitment to sharing itÕs knowledge of deep listening and creative
collaboration, and its musicians are skilled teachers and workshop
facilitators. What the critics say "Last Saturday's
concert the most exciting musical event in my life. It will stay with me

accessible, so physical. I felt honoured to be attending such an amazing
