We're moving!

Our season is ramping up again. Europe, Prince Edward Island and the related relaxation is becoming a memory. Ah well.

I'm going to remind you of a couple of things coming up. First of all, this blog is moving to the newly revamped suddenlyLISTEN website. Alex Kall, our web jockey and I thought we'd rest your clicking finger, and put the sLog and the site in the same place.

So check it out. I'll leave this page up for a while, so you can refer back to my writings over time, should you need a quote or a footnote, or whatever....

The other news is Quartetto Obscuro, our first main Series concert at the Bus Stop on Wednesday October 16th!. I'm really excited about this one, follow the link to learn more. There will be 4 different kinds of string players making up this "traditional" string quartet, but that's where (I hope) the similarities end!

Also we have Musique Actuel this month, October 24th to 26th. This is a collaboration between Dalhousie University Music and Productions Supermusique of Montreal, and will bring 4 of Montreal's greatest improvisers (Joane Hetu, Danielle P Roger, Jen Derome and Scott Thomson) to play, speak about their work and lead a workshop. There will be 2 performances, featuring the Montrealers playing with students and professionals. We are really excited to have this much action going on in Halifax in October! (not to mention the concerts Upstream Music is producing around the same time)

Check it ALL out, it's a great time to be a creative music listener!
