About the Event

Augmented Celli is a collaboration between Norm Adams and Italian cellist Nicola Baroni. Nicola and Norm have performed in Edinburgh, London, Bologna and at the Venice Biennale in 2018. This season they're playing in Toronto and Waterloo Ontario, and right here in Halifax! Augmented Celli play compositions that use computers to expand the cello sound. The music is both notated on the page, and fresh out of their musical minds! The music making is dynamic, textured and always joyful. Brandon Auger is one of Halifax's most creative and thoughtful sound makers, massaging music out of field recordings, old tape recorders and modular synthesizers. Come hear what he pulls out! - Augmented Celli + Brandon Auger 7:30pm, Sunday, October 24 The Cobb Lobby, 5562 Sackville Street, Halifax Admission: $25 or pay what you can.
