Emily Kennedy is sL's first Artists in Residence for 2020/21. Emily is a cellist and composer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. While in residence, Emily will be working at 1313 Hollis Street and welcoming local artists to visit with her! Contact jessica@suddenlylisten.com for available times.

About the Event
We are very excited to have Emily here in Halifax! While she's here Emily will be working on developing semi-improvised works that integrate field recordings and projections sourced from around Halifax with effected and looped cello. She'll be performing some of this work for the public in a concert November 6 at a venue to be announced.
While in residence, Emily will be available for a limited number of sessions with individuals to talk about her work, play together, or just drink coffee! This is a great opportunity to meet a new artist, get some new ideas, learn about Emily's work, and just hang out a bit, feel free to conact jesica@suddenlylisten.com for available times.
