About the Event

suddenlyLISTEN welcomes Helen Pridmore to the east. Helen is one of the country’s great interpreters of new music for voice, and a playful, colourful and generous improviser. She played for many years with Andrew Reed Miller in Motion Ensemble, a New Brunswick based new music ensemble. I have played with both of these folks in many different situations, from literally playing together as kids (Andrew and I have been friends for over 50 years) to several performances of Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg wearing funny hats! This performance will be one of three we’re playing together in Eastern Canada and will connect voice with low strings to create smooth sonority and jagged edges.

Tickets:

Tickets are $25 or pay what you can at the doors.

Featuring:

Helen Pridmore, voice

Andrew Reed Miller, bass

Norm Adams, cello
