Outside In

This is the first concert of suddenlyLISTEN’s 20th season, and what an amazing way to start our celebrations! sL’s first concert in 2000, a collaboration between five musicians from different backgrounds took place in a freshly envisioned Danspace. It seems right to begin the year here in the beautiful Dartmouth Common.

suddenlyLISTEN is built on the great performances that result from listening, artistic flexibility and the close collaborations of artists. We know Outside In embodies that spirit.

Please open your ears, and eyes and be astonished!

About the Work

Choreographer/Greeter: Jacinte Armstrong

Performers: Rosanna Burrill, Tim Crofts, Louis-Charles Dionne, Andrew Jackson, Julie Robert, Camille-Zoé Valcourt-Synnott

Outside In is a performance based on a visual score and shaped by its location, the performers and the audience. Working as an impromptu ensemble, the performers will improvise from their backgrounds in music, dance, and the visual arts. Audience members are invited to experience the work by simply watching and listening, or by moving through the performance site as you would in an art gallery or a park!
